What’s the Best School For My Kids? When it comes to studies in Marbella, there is a buffet of schools where the international ones with a high standard are most popular.
The municipal school is free of charge and open to all EU citizens from pre-school to upper secondary school. There are Scandinavians in all schools so you will find community quickly, regardless of choice. Schools abroad usually do that little extra if it is of an international nature. British, Swedish, Norwegian, German, or French, all exclusive in their own way to justify their price differences.
The variations are many with a very high level, however costly residents in the area and activities that the schools conduct. Choosing a school is important, many chose that children keep their cultural heritage, language, customs, and usages. Most schools follow their home countries’ guidelines for education, where at least the minimum requirements from the home country’s curriculum are followed. Schools usually have high expectations of students where the focus is on the individual to develop their full potential.
Another important detail is that schools use their own uniforms, it is a recognition factor but also for the children to learn to be well dressed and not compare with each other. There are special guidelines for excluding bullying, harassment, and sponsorship from older students so that the school’s values are maintained. Most often, it involves a greater commitment among parents to participate in the children’s leisure activities, where they jointly build relationships. A fun time even for the parents as newcomers to find a circle of acquaintances with the children as the common interest.
Before moving to Marbella, it is a good idea to review which schools there are for your children. I know that when I moved down, we often wondered if the children should go to a Spanish school or one of an international nature.
English is a language that always works and makes it easier for parents to get involved. Spaniards are nice but schooling is very advanced, usually complicated if the children are in the middle of school age. Here are some of the schools I like to recommend for your family, I would recommend you to contact them as soon as possible.
Aloha College Marbella (Bilingual)
One of my favorites with the stately mountain “La Concha” as a backdrop, you will find Aloha College, which during its 35 years has educated children between 8 and 18 years. An international school with a high standard that offers sponsorship for the younger ones to learn the values of care, respect, honesty, effort, and generosity. Indoor sports hall, lawn with spectator stands, fantastic picnic area, and a total of 3000 square meters play area. Here you speak both Spanish and English in an environment with the latest technology.

Swans International School (Engelsk)
One of the larger schools is Swans International School in Marbella, with an indoor pool, several basketball courts, soccer field and is located opposite Parque Nagüeles which offers many more activities in a safe and guarded environment. The school offers children education from preschool to high school. This is a school whose prestige increases every year as well as the fees that are secret until you apply.
